Mental Math
To start your day, begin by spending about 30 minutes playing one of the mental math games that are posted! You can find these under the tab in the top right hand corner labelled "Mental Math".
The Bar Graph Song
Let's kick off our first lesson on bar graphs with a song to help us understand a little better!
Video Introduction
To jump into bar graphs, I have made a video of myself for you and your students, of me introducing the topic and explaining the important features and structures to know and remember!
Time for a Bar Graph!
After you and your student have finished watching the video, you can now move on to making your own bar graph! I have given you some data in the table below for you and your student to use in order to create a bar graph. Use the two attachments below make a bar graph about seasons with your student!

Finishing Up
To wrap up today's lesson, talk over your bar graph with your student, and see if they can come up with roughly 5 things that their graph tells them. For example, one thing that their graph could tell them is which season Abigail's classmates like the least!
